AFP-Canada represents over 3,800 Canadian members and 20 Canadian chapters.
Located in Toronto (Ontario, Canada), the AFP’s Canadian office serves many purposes:
- Government relations
- Chapter services
- Member services
- New member recruitment
The office also oversees the operation of the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada and the AFP Canadian Council.
The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada was created in 2000 so that AFP members in Canada could directly support programs promoting philanthropy and ethical fundraising through a federally registered charity.
The AFP Canadian Council (AFPCC) was created in 2001 to support the mission and strategic objectives of AFP in Canada. The AFPCC is a committee that falls under the responsibility of the AFP Membership & Chapter Services Division.
